A Polyclinic and Diagnostic Centre was started at Shivaji Nagar premises in 1992 and offered Consulting Services in different Clinical disciplines besides providing Pathology Laboratory for assorted Investigations, X Ray, Sonography and Echocardiography.
With a view to provide modern healthcare facilities at affordable cost to the have-nots of the society, a full-fledged Multispeciality Hospital was inaugurated at Red Cross Campus on 21st Sept 2008, by the then Governor of the state Shri Balram Jakhar. Ever since its inception the gamut of activities has been steadily increasing in offering Super Specialist Consultants, latest diagnostic infrastructure and Surgical procedures in General Surgery, GI Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Gynae & Obstetric Surgery, Eye, ENT Surgery as also the newer modalities of Laparoscopic or Minimal Invasive Surgery.
Today this Hospital has 38 indoor Beds including a 12 bedded ICU setup. A hemodialysis unit, A modern Dental Care facility, Digital X Ray, TMT, GI Endoscopy Unit, Echocardiography, Sonography are available to the common man at reasonable price. The Pathology Services are available round the clock to assist the clinicians to offer evidence based healthcare. There are 2 Major Surgical Operation Rooms equipped with latest operating gadgets in addition to a dedicated Eye Surgery Room with Phacoemulsification facility. On an average 7 to 10 major surgical procedures of different disciplines are carried out everyday
In addition there is a 4 Bedded Casualty Department with all emergency and Life support system. A Minor OT room is attached to the Casualty to manage the trauma patients who need surgical backup facility.

The Computerised OPD and IPD counters at the entrance of the hospital instil a feeling of confidence and cordial ambience to the sick and suffering population. It is worth mentioning that on an average 600 to 700 new patients register for consulting services daily basis. The OPD department is open from 8 am to 8 pm, manned by different Specialists in different time slots.
The 12 bedded ICU with modern gadgets to monitor the patients and the Ventilatory support system gives assurance to the needy of timely and adequate critical management.
A 70 Bedded Hospital is also being run by Red Cross in Mhow near Indore and boasts of modern infrastructure facilities of Diagnostic and Therapeutic modalities.

Red Cross Blood Bank – Component & Aphersis Centre
A most modern and dedicated Blood Bank has been operating in the Red Cross premises to cater to the needy round the clock. The Blood bank has procured the latest equipment’s to provide components Like Platelets, RBC and so on. The recent addition of a Machine to provide Single Donor Platelet system is the only such facility in the capital city of Bhopal. Various Health Check up and screening Camps are being organised from time to time in various rural and semi urban areas of the State to spread awareness of preventive medical check-up amongst the general public.

Other Healthcare Activities District Red Cross
Deaddiction Centres are being run in Indore, Neemuch, Sagar, Ratlam to bring the derailed section of society back into the mainstream and help the society at large.
Red Cross also manages Schools for Deaf and Dumb Children at Dhar ,Neemuch and Morena. Leprosy relief Centres are set up at Dhar, Jabalpur,Indore, Satna, Narsingpur, Mandsaur, Rewa and Barwani to help ameliorate the suffering of Leporsy patients.
Red Cross also runs Dharamshala or Rest Houses for the relatives of the patients in the District places at Shivpuri ,Guna, Ratlam, Gwalior, Satna, Damoh and Badwani.
Disaster Management and Assistance to the people affected by Earthquakes, Floods Famines is another area where Red Cross makes its presence by selfless work and help to the afflicted populace.
